BDSA Be Safe

The British DanceSport Association believes dance should be a level playing field - open, honest, and inspiring for all. They have partnered with our charity Crimestoppers to provide all those in, and linked to, the sport with an independent and impartial service through which you can speak up about safeguarding concerns.

Their commitment to transparency and fairness guides everything they do. Their aim is to enable every dancer - in every style - to rise with confidence, compete with pride, and belong without question.

Safety, wellbeing, and respect are at the core of their values, working to safeguard young dancers, promoting best practices for adults and professionals, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

Every dancer’s voice matters, as do those of their family, as well as those working and volunteering in the sport.
